Role Overview

The Cook is responsible for preparing and cooking menu items in accordance with food safety standards, recipes, and service requirements, ensuring consistency and quality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook menu items as per venue standards
  • Assist with food preparation and stock rotation
  • Maintain cleanliness of kitchen and food preparation areas
  • Follow food safety, hygiene, and WHS procedures
  • Work efficiently during peak service periods
  • Assist with opening and closing kitchen duties

Essential Requirements

  • Previous experience as a cook or similar role
  • Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Good time management and teamwork skills

Desirable

  • Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (or working towards)
  • Experience in high-volume kitchens
